The “Kolej na informatykę” project developed by PKP Informatyka, in partnership with Altkom Akademia, was awarded the first prize in the competition organized by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), within the scope of the Human Capital Operating Program – Subaction 2.1.1. The concept developed by the company has beaten 300 other projects submitted for the competition.
“The key success driver was to prepare a project idea based on the strategic analysis of the company and challenges the company is facing and incorporate it into requirements defined for projects financed from the European Social Fund. The proposed education activities have been designed to meet the set goals. At the same time, it is possible to verify the goal achievement status”, explains Wojciech Drabko, Project Development Manager, Altkom Akademia.
The competence development project shall involve 400 PKP Informatyka employees, working at the following departments: Technical, Software Development, Operation Departments, as well as the Operation and Development Office and System Development and Maintenance Center. Employees participating in the project will have an opportunity to select from a portfolio of IT courses related to software development, system deployment and operation, as well as “soft” courses for managers, related to age management, industry knowledge transfer consulting and training, as well as English language courses.
It is expected that within the scope of the project over 1300 man-courses shall be delivered, which translates into approx. 70 000 man-hours. The project shall be delivered from October 1st 2009 to August 31st 2011. The project value is more than PLN 4.5 million. |
