JAVA TECHNOLOGY
As regards Java technology, Altkom S & C has extensive experience in developing high-performance, scalable and secure IT systems working in mixed environments. We excel at developing server solutions with the use of J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition). We use this technology to develop e.g. multi-layered architectures based on such standards as the Spring framework, Java Server Faces, Enterprise Java Beans, Servlets, Java Server Pages (supported e.g. by IBM Websphere, BEA WebLogic, JBoss application servers), providing a high level of performance, scalability, availability and resilience.
The J2EE technology provides rich communication interfaces for Java DBConnectivity databases (Oracle, Sybase, DB2, MS SQL), XML, Java Messaging System or service JMS (e.g. IBM Websphere MQ, Bea Sonic MQ). Thus, we can easily tailor our applications in order to interface them with applications deployed in the customer’s environment.
When planning a new solution, we take into account specific characteristics of the application and plans to upgrade it in the future. Therefore, our products are modular and comply with various program templates facilitating the process of adding new functionalities or launching the applications in various systems and architectures. We have developed our own architecture frameworks and we use world-class architecture standards and templates, which allows us to upgrade applications by adding new functionalities in an easy and proven way, ensuring their top quality.
Research project investments allow companies to be up-to-date with global technology trends. The CWD framework developed with the use of J2EE, complying with the latest specifications and recommendations, is one of the outcomes of our efforts. Thus, the framework is scalable, independent of any specific application server provider, and the use of commonly available standards cuts the costs of future modifications and upgrades. The framework streamlines document management processes (document versioning, searching, and browsing), allows for full customization of the user interface, regardless of the receiving device (computer, PDA, cell phone, or other device supporting Java). The presentation layer uses the portlet standard (JSR168) and the data layer uses e.g. WebDAV (JSR147). The application logic is supported by the Workflow Management System engine, based on the XPDL (XML Process Definition Language) developed by the WfMC consortium. CWD features separate modules supporting employees’ training, knowledge and experience management operations.
Our competencies are proven by numerous certificates issued by such companies and organizations as Sun, IBM and OMG, including:
